I do not know about BBKs for the 300cc motors BUT for a performance ExHaust that will out last the Trike a SuperTrapp Muffler that is adjustable works great. I have one on my Trike and you can add Discs for more Free Flow or Less for more restricted. As far as a Performance Carb you really do not need one I believe they come with a 30mm Carb of course you can put a 32mm Carb on but WHY. You can just rejet the 30mm Carb and get the same results for a WHOLE lot less money and put that Extra Cash into upgradeing the CVT. my .02 Alleyoop Here is the Muffler I have you can scroll down and listen to it: www.supertrapp.com/product_sections/cat.asp?CatID=34

I have not been able to find a bbk for the 300 yet. I could be wrong but it is my understanding that the 300 is a 250 with a bbk on it already. The 300 is actually 279.0cc. I agree with alley just rejet the carb and a performance exhaust. I also have a supertrapp exhaust. I am more interested in finding a stroker crank. I will also put an E.F.I. system on it.

Roy, How do you like the Supertrapp? And how many discs are you using? Do you have the Supertrapp on the 300 or 50? I like mine it has a nice sound to it Alleyoop

Alley, I had it on the 50 but since it kept breaking the header pipe I took it off. I had 4 disks in it. I haven't had a chance to put it on the magnum yet. I need to modify the header pipe because the one I have has a 2 inch inlet. I might get one with 1 3/4 inch inlet as that would be closer to the original pipe size. That way I can put this one back on the fifty. I like these exhausts and the ability to adjust the flow and sound. They will probably last longer than the scooter.

Roy, Why was it breaking you header PIPE? Don't you have the Muffler attached to the Swingarm so it moves with the engine? Alleyoop

I don't want to hijack some body's thread on a different subject. Yes I did have the muffler mounted to the swing arm. I have fabricated more mounts for it. I even made one out of 1" galvanized pipe with a Briggs and Stratton muffler and it broke.

Ironworks, Like Roy mentioned the 300cc is a bored out 250 and I have not seen or heard of Performance mods for the 300s. The CVT I believe it is just a 250 CVT and the only thing you can probably do there is change the weights and or Contra Springs and or Clutch Springs. You can mark your Variator and see high high the belt is climbing and if it is NOT climbing at LEAST 1/4 from the edge of the Variator you can get a few miles per hour more at the top end. To get the belt to climb higher you need heavier weights AND also enough RPMS. All can be controlled with weights and Springs. As far as a Air Filter You can go with a K&N or a UNI but depending on what kind of Setup is on there currently you may need to adjust the carb with a bigger Main Jet. Here is where I got my K&N. They have all sizes and shapes I have the one in the Picture. You have to meaure where it will hook up to the Carb or a Velocity Stack or however your going to put it on so you get the right size. Alleyoop store.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RC-2580This is what Is on my Trike:

Alleyoop: I'm not sure we would gain much on the 300 with a new air filter. The one on it is pretty non restrictive as it is. vr, Lee

Lee your right...Al remember when I was changing out the jets and I went up one and that was a no no. I had to put the same jet size back. The only thing I think that would help the Magnum, mine anyhow would be to change the setting on vac in the carb as she still a little rich on high end
