I experienced the same thing with mine when it was brand new (12 miles). My remedy was an electronic fuel pump, new lines and a custom fuel filter. After that she has run very well. I believe I initially had a small crack in one of the original equipment fuel lines. Been a ball every since.

It is running well. Starts with first push of the starter button. Seems to be a lot quicker now. When I had the muffler off I did polish the inside of the header. It was extremely rough. I used a dremel to smooth it out. I wonder if this has made it quicker? Yesterday I was able to beat a car from a stoplight. I was in the right lane and needed to take a left just after the light. Got off quickly and was able to move into the left lane and make my turn. I still have the front end shaking. I'm going have the front tire replaced and see if that fixes the problem if not it's back to adjusting the rear end. Sat was fun I had replaced all the panels and was putting on the gas cover and lost a screw. Spent a good 30 minutes trying to find it before removing all of the right side panels. I did get it but then I had to put all the panels back on. That might have been the 10th time I've done the panel removal and install. I'm thinking of painting some red stripes on the trike. What paint should I use?

Ger: I striped mine with silver tape striping My Magnum is blue) when I first got it. It really made the trike stand out. Plus it was kind of fun experimenting with different ways to do it. It's really easy and you can change colors whenever you want...or replace any damaged tape whenever. Any auto parts store will have many to choose from.

Good to hear it is running.
I agree with Lee in that a striping kit is the way to go over using paint. If you are going to paint instead, use a paint designed for plastics. It adheres better.

Good news Ger......ride that baby and break her in. You will notice a big difference when you replace the front tire and get all them chino rubbers of it.

Yes, they are nice machines once you get all the little bugs out of them they are great. But you must be able to attack the problems yourself because their are not to many shops that will touch a Chinese Scoot. I enjoy my Trike and fix anything that goes wrong myself, although I have to say It has been solid and runs like a bear since I fixed all the little gremlins late in 2009. Starts up all the time Idles really nice and I have the carb just tuned does not skip a beat. The only thing I do is put grease in the differential now and then, change the oils and adjust the valves if they need it.
As a matter of fact I just got back from a 30mile ride it got up to 55 today unseasonably warm for this time of year. They are saying 1-3 inches of snow is coming though HOPE it misses us(HEHE). Heck I haven't even started up the snowblower and hope I don't have to. But around here it is unpredictable from one day to the next this time of year we can get a lot of snow in just one day. Al: we too might see snow tonight. North of us in Fayetteville they will probably get some but I doubt we will because of our much lower elevation. Don't want it anyway. Took the Magnum out today for a 15 mile squirt. One last time before the colder weather rolls in. On another note just finished putting a new Barnett Racing clutch in my CB 900 Honda. Holy cow does that thing grab now!!

Lee, Good to hear you got in a ride before maybe the weather changes. Yea a good clutch will do wonders for take offs and pulling without slipping.
Back in my younger days I used to break the fingers on the clutch heck one time raceing a 409 after work it blew and put a hole in my tranny case. After that I had a Clutch rebuilt to 3,400 lbs like a truck clutch and I could not speed shift it anymore but didn't have to. That sucker grabbed as soon as I popped it. It used to push me back in the seat pushing it in(HAHA). But after that never broke any fingers anymore.

Wow, now you got like a new cycle there Lee. I was gonna ask you if you want to go ATV riding over on my son's land there by White Oaks. I will put the 400 Yamaha in the truck with the ramps and we can put yours on your trailer and haul it. Pack a lunch and make it a day, is just under 500ac
