Y'all should check out some of the Piaggio manuals in the Library. The electrics on them are ridiculously complex and would be nearly impossible to work on yourself. The parts themselves are outrageous if you can find them at all. They're beautiful scooters but I gotta agree with KZ (hey, that rhymes), give me a Chinese scooter any day that you can do your own work on. Rich.

give me a china scoot any day of the week, if I got to work on it and actually fix it with out a mortgage on the house to buy parts with. right now I am seeing many china scoots broke but had they been rode and repaired like intended they would be still rolling instead of parked. If I didnt have so much wrapped up in that majesty I would be looking for a trade too. I wanted to buy a new 3-400 linhai and got in a hurry,

I was watching for a white color and one that already had a MSO which kept all the drop shippers out of my life.
all over asia they ride and repair them with stock parts and they last forever. 189cc's of raw power screaming out of the pipe on the gy6 who was born a 49cc, you might say the reliability is going to be some what less!
I JUST DON'T GIVE A FLYING PHUCG ************* THERE IS NO USED MACHINE THAT IS GOING TO MAKE ME SMILE LIKE SOME THING BRAND SPANKING NEW.....EVEN IF i HAVE SPEND A BUNCH OF HOURS FINISHING THE ASSEMBLY AND ALL THE REST OF THE PDI. All the junk all these years I got the "deaL" on some better than others, crap... all I ask is maybe onr more that aint all buggered up and have to have to cuss at it and run my bloodpressure so high my nuts will explode. this summer I will be 70 years old, my doctorys 30 years ago said it would be soon. just one more and let me make it right. all most all that damn speed stuff just does is speed the scooter thru life so it can go out with a bang and get melted down to some thing else in to a rootbeer maybe!
