My Jcl mp250A just turned 1,000 miles I am getting ready to adjust the valves and I would like to change the spark plug and drive belt. I would like to have them on hand before I pull it apart does any one know what spark plug and drive belt is required? I would like to upgrade so i do not want to order stock parts.
Thanks for any Help

Well jcl250a, I guess I never said howdy and welcome to the forum. So....well, you know. I moved your question over here to 250cc where you should get a little more activity. Rich

Hi everyone.
I finished my valve adjustment earlyer today, scooter runs great. I gained about 5 mph. And I hope that it cured my starting trouble, I will have to wate and see.
while I had it apart i changed the spark plog (NGK DR8EA) parts guy said that it was nothing to upgrade to? I looked at the drive belt it was in good condition so no change at this time it is a Gats Powerlink 85623. All in all not a bad job just pulling all the plastic off to get to the valve's was the hard part. about a total of 4 hrs takeing my time and with out power tool's, left mine at work.

First welcome jcl25a, good to have you on the forum. Great job on adjusting the Valves and as you found out that really helped the engine function better. The exhaust must of been to tight and was loosing compression. That will cause hard startings and loss of power that is why you got back some power and top end, hopefully it will start good for you now. Alleyoop
