I'll be 70 in aug. In all that time I treat the BA crap the same as the tv ads that say not available in stores....if it was any good all the stores would be selling them.

I quit going there when the mod who censors every thing came back there. The owner of that forum must have crap for brains since he was talked into letting that mod come back and take over. I don't know if I have been banned and as long as current mods are there I will never try to make another post there. john

The Boric Acid thing was getting way out of hand over there. Certain members acted as if they had much to lose or gain in it. Frankly, I found it quite bizzare how worked up some got advocating it.

Unfortunately, it seems they lost alot of knowlegable members in the process. I won't quit going there yet. But it seems the quality of the posts/advise is going down.

I'd sell it if I thought I could make money doing that. Terra actually tried to get me into business selling it as such. I wouldn't touch it with the patents surrounding it, but I do advocate using it.

Oh, by the way, I'm here just chilling. I guess now this is my second official post here...

Not leaving Scootdawg, but haven't been on other scooter websites because it takes to much damn time to just monitor one, let alone a dozen...

If we're all telling stories about TN, once I got a harsh PM from a mod because I called TN's posts "cryptic and not understandable" or something like that, not as an insult or anything. After that TN seemed to become my best friend.

I do find it interesting all this fake DRAMA that occurs on these web boards. I try to stay out of it but it's hard to when the mod/creator of another nameless board sends me a dozen email messages because I called into question the source of an image he used in a how-to he wrote and I posted on MY SITE.

I guess I just ignore the petty bickering and just concentrate on business at hand.

crap if your going to try and put down someone go and do it on his forum. Do your dirty laundry on his forum(Be a Man for crying out loud), don't bring your dirty laundry here we don't care at least I don't.

Everyone on here knows I also am a member of JRs forum Scooterprofesser, crap I use the same handle on both no secret. I know all about the 11 pole stator papers and things on your website. Just a little advice since your selling stuff and trying to get people to buy from you. STAY OUT of any personal arguements THAT ONLY A HANDFULL of people are involved in.

If you have any more dirty laundry to wash I suggest you do it on SD and not bring it here.

My feelings is that anybody who sides with Terra Nuvo, Earthman or what ever name he logs in under, should really examine where their head is at. I didn't bother to even watch what was going on at SD, he tried advocating his nonsense at Rebels and was quietly denounced. It cracks me up that someone who's been riding for all of a year is certain that he's going to educate the "unwashed masses" and show us the light. What is it that he said? "A 200cc Pathfinder is all anyone will ever need." Try telling that to anyone with a larger or smaller scooter. I'll be sorry if he does disappear. I want to see what happens when one of his harebrained experiments destroys his engine. Then we'll see if he's "pure" enough to tell the truth.

Just so you know Evil, Rich allows much more latitude in discussion here than Earl did at SD. Too bad the "Journey" thread is gone. You'd have seen democracy at work.

My theory is to give them kind more rope,....It is so much more rewarding when they do it to them selves.....like jay did!

All the crap that isn't available in stores or auto parts stores is prime example.........BA, magic pans, scratch removers, ceramic detergent balls, and all the other hair brain ideas, .........it don't work .........and if it did every little or big store would have it for less than the next guy.

Yea too bad we won't get to read a thread about TN trying to rebuild his boric acid experiment scoot.

Maybe I missed something, I just didn't see anything in MP's post as being offensive. All I saw was that the guy tried to pop in and say 'hi', and put in his $0.02 (it is a discussion forum, after all) and got slammed like a grilled-weasel-on-a-bun vendor at a PETA convention.

While I do appreciate that welcome, it's a bit less convincing when you follow it up with a comment like that. Complete that thought, Alley. Very telling about what, and to whom? Telling that I won't blindly "dawgpile" on someone with you just because you very plainly have some personal beef with them? If you are possessed of such psychoanalytical prowess, please tell me what other startling insights you have been able to deduce from such sparse source material. My burning question: should I buy a powerball ticket tonight? ;D

I don't mean any harm to anyone, and I don't want to create more bad blood. There is no agenda, product, or service I'm trying to promote (other than scooting technology in general, which I think is OK here, but I've been wrong before). I don't know the whole history of all "this", and I'm sure there are all manner of things I thankfully never will. I'm just so sick of all these holier-than-thou board wars.

I wonder: Is there something unique to scooterist DNA that makes it impossible for us to get along with others, even ourselves?

Thanks for the positive note, kz. At least someone's trying. Despite the democracy, I would still dare not post anything BA-related here, or any other scoot-related board. I've learned my lesson the hard way that people don't like having their bubbles burst, no mater which side of the particular bubble they may be on. For all the hate, I was just trying to legitimately prove or disprove someone else's theory, as opposed to just offering an opinion.

Maybe folks just like having something to fight over, I dunno.

Hiis post was not a goodie goodie post, he bascially told us this forum is not for him, and that is fine he can choose wherever he wants to be. He only joined this forum to advertise his website no other reason. He even told us 2nd post, You have to know some of these people and how they operate to understand their underlying meaning. Some will come out and say it others beat around the bush and play their sly games.

Not only is it obvious what he thinks about this forum he added to that. He did not have to mention ANYTHING about ANYBODY but he just had to drop some of what was in his shorts about another person that he knows is not on here.

He can easly go to the other forum and have it out with him if he has a beef with him.

As for the Very Telling damn right, his post was in no way complementary to this forum for one and on top of that he drops a load on another guy. But you just overlooked those points and because I responded and told it like it is with him you jumped on me. Couple of things come to mind your friends or you agree with him nothing wrong with that as well. To each his own as they say.

Don't know his history here or with other members, but I've read his posts on Dawg and always found him to come across as honest, fair, rational, helpful, and polite.

As I said, I may have missed some things there "between the lines". People do and say things for which I can't fathom the slightest motivation in, yet there they are all the same. Add that in with the inherent ambiguity of the internet and who knows what will come out, and if I'd recognize it when it did.

I do apologize for getting a bit defensive; the last couple of weeks have left me a bit so, for reasons which I believe you are well aware.

I am not MP's "big buddy" or anything like that. We have conversed a bit in threads, and he does seem like a fairly upright guy to me. I have been given no personal reason, or seen any other behavior exhibited from this individual towards others, that would give me cause to assume otherwise. That would certainly seem to be counterproductive behavior, seeing as he is in the biz after all. You don't get customers by being a 'Richard Cranium' to your customer base, and he's got to make a living like the rest of us. Why would you interpret his perceived desire to advertise here as a negative thing? I would think that as a vendor and enthusiast, this might actually enrich the forum.

So, again, the story just doesn't seem that logical. I've heard a lot of illogical stories lately, though, so I can't say it's the strangest or least likely. Thanks for spelling out your thoughts so I can comprehend them, at least.

There is no history with me. Anyone can search my profile and see my posts here. I am the same persona here and elsewhere, I have nothing to hide. I am not a part of any 'click'; this is not middle school. I'm just a guy who likes scoots and tends to be a bit verbose. For the love of 2 (or three) wheels, could we torque down the paranoia to factory spec? Use the red Loctite!
