The kid just finished a 2000 trip with not much of a vehicle and plenty of trouble. in spite of all the encouragement you guys gave him he never gave up. Despite all of his faltering along the way I myself congratulate him.

In three and a half months. Given that amount of time I could do the trip on my Raleigh road bicycle.

Do any of the real old guys remember on "laugh-in" ....... the guy with a trench coat that rode a kids tricycle? (and kept falling off)

I say that guy could have made the trip on that tricycle in the time that it took!

And with less self induced problems. But what do I know, jay was just the president of his own company, "with employees" and not too mechanical.

TRIVIA NOTE: Dan Price, a 45-year-old Oregon man pedaled 4,250-mile cross-country on a tricycle trip to draw people's attention to the benefits of pedal power and gas-free travel. Riding an average of 50 to 60 miles per day on the 33-pound, 27-speed tricycle, Price pedaled from Oregon to San Diego, across Texas and through New Orleans, then through western Florida. He began his trip from his hometown of Joseph, Ore., on Nov. 1. 2002 and finished in Key West, Florida on February 14, 2003. Arte Johnson would be proud.
