Hi CE,
The coolant overflow isn't in that area. I am leaning towards it being the flat one that goes under the black floor plastics.
Update: I have ordered the Diode Rectifier/Regulator as it appears others had the same issue with the key being off or out of the scooter, and lights remaining on. I think it was $7 shipped.
I pulled the carb tonight and noticed that only one coolant line was hooked to it. The other was blocked off with a hose and screw. The 1st line (the one not blocked off) went directly to a coolant passage next to the carb. Does anyone know where the 2nd line should go to? Thanks!

Normaly those you can leave off they don't use them anymore. As a matter of fact you can take the whole thing off from the carb. Don't bother they used to use them to run warm liquid by the side of the carb but if you notice it is a very small piece of the carb it would warm up and did not help squat. So plug up any hoses going to the carb from the radiator. Alleyoop Here is probably what you are talking about. Notice you can take the whole thing off.

Not a good idea, they are there to bring down the amps going to whatever they are powering so it does not burn then out. Alleyoop

i think something quit working and they tried to bypass it by wiring around what ever broke so they did not have to spend any money buying a part. maybe they didnt know where to look for parts.

I have a 2008 YY-250-T with a Honda 244cc engine, Roketa MC 54 250B. The radiator coolant bottle is under the floor on the left side adjacent to the gas tank on the right side. Both accessed by opening the locked lid. .

Bypassing the alarm and or remote start you need to unplug it and jump two wires so everything else works as it should. Very nice that the radiator coolant is next to the gas tank very easy access. Just make sure when filling up you are paying attention and your eyes are not wondering. Alleyoop

OK, so I do believe I figured out what the fusible link harness is for. The image below shows a "Fuse Harness" which was probably destroyed/ruined at some point. Rather than waiting to order the part, they just made their own using fusible links. Done right, its not a bad idea but the wires are twisted together and duct taped! I'm going to rebuild the harness with the correct solder joints and fuses. Here is the original part that I believe used to be part of my scooter:

I resolved another issue tonight. ;D One headlight was dimmer than the other. When you switched to high beams, it was a very slooooow switch on the dim side, and still very dim. Someone switched 2 of the pins in the headlight harness on one side. Unreal what you find 2nd hand.
The new diode rectifier will be here tomorrow hopefully fixing the issue with lights remaining on when key is out of the ignition. I'll post the results. Current diode gets blazing hot very fast.

Something is not wired proper. Need to check for wire problems prior to putting on a new part and having it burn out days after you just installed it. Jmo

Jack, great meeting you today. Hope you liked the shop. I was just thinking, I'll get with my business partner and see what plans he has for the Black Jonway in the back.... maybe we can sell it to you super cheap for use as a parts bike.
