My wife's Bashan has been riding squirrely since we towed it to the Dragon's Tail. I just didn't feel it was safe anymore so I whined until my pal Cookees agreed to crate up a Puma Eagle 150 and ship it down to me. It was even prepped it so I didn't have to get all oily. It showed up yesterday recrated in a Puma box:
Cookees was even thoughtful enough to wrap it to protect the finish:
Removing that revealed a nice gun metal grey Puma...cul:
Sue finally got the canister muffler that she's been wanting:
It's got a nicely finished dash, in fact the whole bike is that way:
My drill and a 10 mm socket made short work of the shipping frame:
If you've never removed a scooter from the shipping base it's not that big of a deal. I've had a few people ask the easiest way to get it off of there so here it is. Remove any wire tie downs around the scooter then stand behind it and lift from the rack:
Rotate the bike off of the base so that the handlebars straighten out:
If you think you'll have trouble lifting and rotating have somebody move the frame over while you hold the bike up, it's just not that heavy.
Then straddle the scooter, lift the handlebars, and roll the bike backwards:
If the front wheel is off during shipping you'll have to slide the axle out and set the forks on a stand to put the wheel on. Here's a link to a thread on how to do that.
Now the scoot's out of the crate ready to roll down to the basement garage:
I put some gas in it and got it started. We rode it a bit around the neighborhood but we're going to have to wait till this weekend to give it a good flogging. Here's Fearless Leader over the vanquished foe:
And here's Sue on her new toy:
I'll let you know how it runs this weekend and get some more pics. Rich

1 good lookn scoot that have the higher hp say 9 [/b][/quote] The first thing my wife said was "that things is fast!". And this after riding her freak of nature Bashan for three years. Her Bashan is one of the fastest scooters I've ever ridden and I haven't did anything to the engine, it was just like that out of the box. I'm not sure what the HP on the Eagle is but it's a quick scooter that's for sure. Rich
