Hello again after the presentation of my trike I open this thread for my technical questions about the GY6 200cc one in particular, according to data sheet G-161QML 189cc rear tires 235/30/12 Comment input any edits 1 Drive Dr.Pulley with sliders 10g 9g soon 2 Clutch Dr.Pulley with the factory settings + Performance Torque Spring 1500 RPM 3 CDI Naraku 4 spark plug wire coil + Naraku Iridium Spark 5 6 dual-layer foam air filter PIT BIKE of www.marchaldfilters.com/webcontent/after/pit.html7 EBC-HH pads front My intention is to continue improving and better off when I saw these components and I would like to know your opinion on the matter GY6 Engine Gear Sets with different sizes and this is my big question, knowing that combination to choose. The forum mate alleyoop carries a set of 16/37 but do not know if carrying wheels 12 "instead of 10" will be the perfect combination, I want to win some top speed and the scooter will not I guess so revolutionized and image will be 13/40 as the trike alleyoop I have located on eBay this measures 17/37, 16/38 and 17/36 If I change the original carburetor 24mm 30mm GY6 CVK this Carburetor but the GY6 Performance Intake would have a benefit or a waste and would be best to change the Main Jet by other oversized for now nothing more forgiven for the extension of my office thanks Jordi PD:He forgot to ask you how often you change oil Trike? Hi Jordi, Since you have enough displacement it will carry the taller gears. Actually my tires on the 10" rims are even bigger in diameter than yours on the 12" rims. Go for the 17/37 gears if your motor has good pulling power as is(it should with the displacement you have). I run with the 24mm carb and upjetted with a #38 pilot and a # 122.5 main jet a 125 was to much fuel it would start to pop around 50-55 mph. You really do not need a 30mm carb besides the intake manifold might be bigger than the Intake on the head and it would distort the air and fuel coming in.
You can also put on 255-50-12 tires on it for more travel per 1 revolutions. From the looks of yours you have the LOW PROFILE tires as well.
One more ITEM does your TRIKE have TACH? It is very important to have a TACH when tuneing for best performance so you do NOT over REV the motor. The motors produce their max RPMS at around 7500rpms and usually REDLINE at 8000rpms.
QUESTION: What Gram weights are in there now and what is your top end speed and at what RPMS. That will help decide what gram weights you should try. Alleyoop

hello alleyoop so says deveria put a 17/37 right? not clear to me that I could use Main Jet and I do not recommend or carburetor Intake manifold or the Aluminum. Regarding the tires here in Spain there are none, I found a German page with the same measure that I have, and the pages of USA do shipments to Spain and the shipping is very expensive, not to mention that as I said I would come into the space that now I have My trike in the table has to measure rpms and with respect to the speed down a bit I've put 95KMH and if I stretch a little more like the 100KMH grabs me. I leave you some links where it leaves the drive and the clutch that I have installed the drive www.drpulley.info/shop/product_info.php?products_id=745sliders www.drpulley.info/shop/product_info.php?products_id=511the clutch www.drpulley.info/shop/product_info.php?products_id=398According to the manufacturer recommends weighing 10-15% underweight or equal weight origuinal origuinal. I currently carry the 9g but you'll put the next review of 10g is the weight on his home in this way as something grabs me more speed and if you change gears for even better I have a question every few miles you change the engine oil to 700Km I put 100% synthetic oil good now I almost 2000km Jordi

Jordi, Very nice Dr. Pulley Variator and Clutch. Yes 9g weights are TO LIGHT, you WILL GET MORE SPEED with 10g weights. And with the 17/37 gears you will pick up a LOT OF TOP END SPEED(BE CAREFULL..HEHE).
I Change the Oil every 1700km= 1000 U.S.A MILES. Synthetic OIL IS GOOD it KEEPS THE TEMP DOWN by about 20 degress. Alleyoop

Ah ok, the PILOT JET is the long one and the MAIN JET is the one that a lot of fuel when your going fast. If you take the Carb Bow off this is what you will see so you can see which one is the Pilot Jet and Which one is the Main Jet for high speeds. Well my Trike came with a smaller Pilot Jet a #35 so the NEXT BIGGER Pilot jet was put in a #38. The Main jet was LiKe a #107 but it needed a lot more fuel because of the BIG BORE KIT adding 30 more CCs. So a #125 Main Jet was tried but it was to MUCH FUEL so got the next SMALLER MAIN JET which is a #122.5 and that was perfect . Alleyoop

Jordi, You have to find out what kind of carb you have, take a picture of the carb if you don't know we can help identify it. It is probably a Keihin type carb which are very common that is the type most chino scoots come with. Alleyoop

Hello concerning my carburetor PD24J carry a 24 mm and with reference to Final Gear set, the set of 17/37 and sold it and do not know if it will return to take H.. And seen these other 14/38, 15/36, 16/36, 17/36 and 18/37 and I have no idea if I could get a good combination what I like is that the scooter was not as if it can be revolutionized and gain some speed but without losing much strength in the output. Or would be better to wait until they return to the 17/37 thanks Jordi PS: And thanks for the photo of the carburettor

Well If you liked the 17/37 you can wait for it IF they come back or get the 17/36 that is just 1 tooth difference. That is 4 up and 4 down difference which is a nice even combo on both gears. I have the same Carb, you really do not need to get another Carb it will not help much at all it may just cause more problems for you. My motor is 182ccs Now so our motors are almost the same in power. Alleyoop

Hello Alleyoop I wonder if after installing the MAIN JET #122,5 and PILOT JET #38 had to make some other adjustment? thanks Jordi

Jordi, Chaning Jets is a TRIAL AND ERROR thing. Yours might need different size jets what works on mine MAY NOT WORK on yours. Every motor is different that is why you have to play around with the JETS if your going to try different ones.
But you should FIRST find out what jets are in your carb righ now so you know which way to go and about what size jets to try. Now most of the Carbs the JETS are NOT marked so it is hard to determine what to get UNLESS you can find out the jet sizes that are in your carb. There are some tiney drills that you can buy to stick into the Jets to find what size they are if they are not marked. Alleyoop
