My 07 xciting 500 gauge will not work. Some INFO, put new battery on it and the speed, tac, and fuel gauges all don't work, the temp Gauge starts out at cold and when I turn the key on(not started) the Gauge moves up till max hot and stays there till I turn it off. The battery light and the cell phone charger lights all so on all the time. I have checked to make sure it the correct battery and I have all so rode it 5 or 6 hours to air it out from being stored outside(covered) all winter. It rides and runs great. Any ideas ?? Thanks

are you sure you connected all the wire to the new battery? There is usually wire connected onto the Positive terminal that goes to your key switch that when you turn it on the instrument panel guages work. Check around by the battery and make sure you did not leave any wires that should be connected. Alleyoop

I took the battery off and looked for a forgotten wire and there is no wire. I re-checked fuses. More info, When I turn the key on the battery light takes about 3-4 seconds to come on, when it comes on the low fuel light all so comes on. When the lights come on I all so hear a click sound, seems to be coming from the dash area ? Thanks for you all trying to help me. One more thing My odometer and trip odd. lights up but don't work, numbers stay the same.

Just curious, did you ever find where the problem was of why your guages weren't working? My 09 xciting 500 is having the exact same symptoms and I'm at a loss. I'm thinking possibly a cold solder jointe on the cluster circuit bd. Any help would be appreciated.
