The seal on my new scooter was mashed down and hard so I used a hair dryer to heat it up and it sprang back up into shape and is a lot softer.Now I'm not so worried about dirt getting in the carb. Attachments:

Very smart fix to your problem. Another thing you can do when the Sino-builders seem to lose concentration is to gt some of that sticky back foam they use on windows and doors. It makes a really good seal and comes in various widths. You can get it at Lowes. Rich
