I read at Modern Vespa that those two Stellas at the bottom of the list "Blewed Up". They must have ported and polished them and didn't use a good racing oil.

The Salsbury is still out front trailed by an ancient Sears (Vespa) Allstate. The Vespa crowd must be plotting how to rid themselves of the shame.

I would guess the Salisbury is the most valuable scooter in the race too. Worth as much as a 6 pack of vespas!

Yea I know, .... in fact some where here I posted a few Salsbury pictures a while back. I would give my left nut for one. They were the first with a twist and go transmission. I think they marketed one in '37. The word is Da Vinci had a form of twist and go in one of his drawings. Wish they would come up with a small car using one. Maybe a 1000cc motor, just a basic car with no extra crap on it like all of todays cars.
Also Salsbury was owned by one of the aircraft builders of the time. Hence the streamlined body.

If I could buy a small truck like that with 4 wheels I would do it. I just can't get with 3 wheels. If I could use one for a few weeks I might change my mind if it could cruise at 60 mph. I need to tow at least 1,000 lbs. and I doubt it could do it.

I wonder how the scoring system works? The Big Ruckus should be kicking their butts.

You know what else cracks me up? Look at all the "Brand Name" scooters that have either missed a day or crapped out entirely. Burgmen, a Majesty and many of the Genuines. Even a SYM RV 250. No wonder two relics are leading. The owners of the modern equipment must not know how to tighten bolts.
