Any one remember the glass bowls like on an 8N ford tractor? They work great. I still use an 8N around my place. With the gas I been buying I have not seen any water in the bowl and the tractor is kept in the barn so I don't have to deal with weather getting in it.

Gas floats on water, that's how a separator works. It needs fairly calm conditions for gravity to do it's work and let the water sink. That's why the glass bowl filters John mentioned work so well. I really don't see how a funnel would provide those conditions while you're trying to pour gas through it into a tank. If it did work you'd be waiting an hour for the gas to get through. A gallon of E-10 will absorb about four tablespoons of gas before the excess starts to separate out (phase separation) and sink to the bottom. This typically takes about 3 months or more of exposure to humid air. So if your gas isn't older than that the water in it isn't going to come out using any gravity method. I think the funnel would be a waste of time and money, the little filter would have to have a catch reservoir and I don't see one. JMO, Rich
