I am replacing my old starter motor, and even though I double checked to make sure I purchased the correct starter unfortunately the wire connection to the relay is different then the old one. Can I use the old wiring with the new starter motor?

What is different about the New Starter? It Either it has two connectors or one going to the Realy. Maybe one Wire is the Ground for the New Starter some the Starter itself is the Ground and only one wire hooks up.
Can you put up pictures of the old and new.

So that wire from the Starter has the White PLUG which your Relay doesn't have is that right?
If so then you have to cut the PLUG off and get a Connector to put on the end of the wire to go on the RELAY TERMAINAL and your set.

Or take the OLD Wire from the RELAY that connected to your OLD starter and Connect that wire to the Starter Either way. It is just the Connectors that are different.

i went ahead and just installed the new starter using the old wiring, need to charge my battery a bit then hope for the best
