Hello, I'm hoping someone here can help me. I've been searching the internet trying to find out what I'm missing. The scooter is a 125 4St and having removed the carb to have a look I have refitted it and seem to be missing something as fuel pumps out of the pipe at the top left fwd part of the carb, I don't think there should be anything there but can't see why the fuel is coming out here. I will try to put up a picture to see if I can show you where. Hopefully someone can give me some advice as to where I'm going wrong, Nick. Attachments:

It is Flooding that is the OVERFLOW IT. You will have to take the carb off and check the Float and the plunger that shuts the fuel off when the right amount of fuel fills the bowl. Here is what you have to look at and check the Plungers RUBBER tip and clean out the inlet where it goes into and possibley adjust the Float. Maybe the Float is just getting hung up and not raiseing the Plunger to shut the fuel off: Alleyoop

Alley's got you figured out. If I can add something, the gas is coming out of the nipple where the vent line is supposed to be attached. You're missing the line in your attachment picture. Rich

Also be certain the carb is level right to left and front to back when it sits on the intake elbow..it doesn't take much of an angle to get the float to stick open... from the photo it looks to be on an angle..hard to say...

Thanks for all the advice guys, I tried taking it apart and cleaning and adjusting it but in the end admitted defeat and bought a new carb, it's running perfectly now although does it have an auto choke of some sort? or do I set the idle to be a bit high when warm?

Great that it is running good now, yea sometimes it is just easier to buy a new carb they are cheap enough anyway.
If it came with an ENRICHER the black piece on the carb with 2 wires comeing off of it. Did you plug the the ENRICHER in? When Warm it should idle around 1500-1800 rpms and the REAR WHEEL NOT spinning. USE THE IDLE SPEED screw on the Carb that is the SCREW on the THROTTLE CABLE SIDE it has a SPRING on it. CLOCKWISE raises the IDLE COUNTER CLOCKWISE lowers the IDLE. Alleyoop

Yes I did plug the enricher in then, thanks again for the help. Now all I need to do is sort the kickstart out as it isn't currently working. Appears simple enough though having browsed a few of the similar engine manuals..
