Hi, I've got a 3 yrs old Sym Fiddle II 50cc. It has not been used for 1 yr (parked inside heated garage) and now I'm trying to start it up before putting it up for sale. Battery has been taken out and periodically charged, fuses seems fine, but when I turn the ignition on, I cannot get the electric starter to turn, nor horn to sound and no lights are glowing on the instrument panel. I have an wiring diagram in my owners manual and it show some main connector which connects the wires from Ignition switch, Battery, Fuses, CDI, ign coil with the front electric wiring like instrument panel, front lights, starter switch. I suspect that it is some kind of connection problem in that connector, but I'd like to know where it's located, before I start to tear the whole bike apart...
Anyone have any idea ?
Kind Rgds Peter

Check the fuse or continuity..they can look good but be bad...are you certain the battey has a charge? it is likely something simple, not wiring problems..but I have seen mice eat through wiring...

I agree with Sprocket, if it ran before and now it doesn't it's probably the battery. Try jumping it off of a good battery, even your car or truck, just DON'T start the vehicle. It could be mouse damage too. Everybody's so laid back in Canada they watch the mouse crawl up in their scooter and say "there's a mouse in my scooter....eh?"...and that's all they do. Rich
