Other than the headlight, are there any lights that can't/shouldn't be converted to LED's?

I don't think so. I converted all of my lights including the dash lights (those were hard and required a trip to Radio Shack and a soldering iron). Depending on your system, you may have to put a device in that regulates the flash rate for the turn signals. I did not, my flash pattern is just fast, wich I like.

Especially, since my scooter doesn't have a kick starter.

The LEDS are fantastic, Especially the Brake lights and the Turn Signals. During the day on my Trike which has the same lights as the DOCTOR's 250 , you could barely see the Turn Signals but if the sun was hitting them you could not see them blinking, the brake lights were not bright at all. My wife was behind one day and she told me she could not see my turn signal. Now with the LEDS they are Nice and Bright and can be seen during very Sunny days. Same with my Brake lights they are Fantastic. I also put them in my instrument panel. Alleyoop

The headlights I am not concerned with since I do not ride it at night and during the day I have them on and they can be seen very clearly so for my use I don't need to change them. I was worried about the rear lighting , did not want someone running up my rear because they could not see my turn signal and or brake lights. Alleyoop

You will find headlight bulbs for replacement, but my understanding is they are not as bright.

How to find out... interested in it. I contacted the seller. I am ok installing these type of things, but not too good at the technical stuff. Need to work at being better at being more technical with the electrical stuff on these scooters.

Well I jumped on this and bit the bullet. I got free time in the summer to see if I can trouble shoot and get this thing to work with my scooter. I contacted the seller and he said he can provide AC parts for this so that it will work. so if people are interested i'm willing to experiment and do a write up.

trixrabite Do some searches.. You can convert your AC system to a DC system.. There is some documented AC to DC Conversion mods for GY6 scoots floating around in various forums, I've seem them... I once considered this mod for HID Lighting, but decided it wasn't worth it to me.. Besides vehicles that are not factor equipped w/ HID is not legal for HID lighting...

I have been researching... some people say its possible with current setup that I have but need to put in rectifiers or regulators that limit the amount of amps the HID kit will suck up or it will drain the battery quick and is not efficient for the scoot. I'll look into it when I receive the kit. I was looking at an H4 LED bulb too. if I receive this kit and it looks too diffiult I will go the H4 LED route and hold onto the kit and look into putting this in a motorcycle in the future... looking into getting an SV650... scooter is just my around town toy.

The HID setup uses 35 watts. You cannot reduce or regulate this amount as it is determined by the ballast once the bulb fires. Most scoots use 35 watt headlights without problems, but we are talking AC watts off the stator. The HID lights require a direct feed to the battery for a DC feed. The problem here is if the scoot's system can handle the additional DC requirements to keep the battery charged while the HID light is on.
