hi i was trying to go through the threads to see what if i could find the answer myself but i need some help... i just bought a sunl 250cc sl250-22 from private owner $800 with 1900 miles clear title my first scooter.. after 3 days of purchase i decide to ride it to work it runs good better than i expected for price i notice that fuel gauge didn't move one bit rpm never moved from 0 and temp gauge never moved from cold the only thing that works is the speed and that's if its showing right speed. i have not done any maintenance at all can someone tell me how to fix this?

My first thoughts would be a fuse blown, unfortunately I`m unfamiliar with your model so can`t tell you where to find them on the scoot. There will probably be someone along shortly who can advise better

It`s a case of checking each one manually, or if you`ve got a multimeter check between the ends of each fuse for continuity. Last ditch method is to get a piece of silver baking foil and twist it into a thin stick, turn on ignition, then touch each end of the foil to the ends of the fuse, effectively bridging it. If suddenly your gauges start working then you`ve found the blown fuse. If you do find a blown one, don`t hold the foil on for more than a couple of seconds though in case you have a shorted wire somewhere. Just replace that fuse and see if it blows again.

Sounds like a poor connection issue, is there a multiplug on the back of the dash, if so try removing it and squirting with light oil then replacing ? Could really do with someone chipping in who is familiar with your model.
