OK so I have a BMS 260 (old carb style) I don't ride it anymore (too unreliable) I'm in between selling it or renting it at the DMV. Today I need to move it to my new apartment. The battery is toast but I've jumped it with my car no problem. For some reason today it won't start via a jump. At first it cranked and I watched the gas being sucked up to the carb. I let it sit for a minute then cranked again but this time it acted as if it didn't have enough juice. Now it just gives a click! Again like it doesn't have enough juice to even turn the engine. Anybody got any ideas?

Yea it could be your relay just went south, Put the jump back on the battery then Get a Screwdriver or Wire and TOUCH BOTH RELAY TERMINALS and see if that spins your starter. If it does then you need a NEW RELAY. Alleyoop

An update... I may never know if that relay was bad. When I went to try and get it going I discovered it was STOLEN! I'm kinda sad but even more surprised that someone actually bothered to toss it in a truck and take off with it. I highly doubt I'll see it again and if I do it will probably be just pieces. So much for disc locks!

I guess I had start using the cable lock on my Honda Reflex, lock it to a hign sign rail or something. I heard they have been a lot of scooters around here being taken also. I always try to park where I can see it but you know how that goes. The steering locks do not hold them down if a couple guys in a truck want to take it
