From the looks of it you maybe got the wrong CRANK to tell you the truth. The splines on the crank are not the same as on the Fan Pulley. Either that or maybe some splines on the crank are bent.
Something is NOT RIGHT that BOSS looks awefully short TO MUCH OF THE SPLINES are showing past the BOSS. Normally the Fan just butts up to the BOSS and MAYBE a Washer is needed so the Variator NUT does not TIGHTEN on the Splines of the Crank and NOT on the Fan pulley. With yours if the Fan does fit the splines I would say at least 1/4 of an inch of splines will be protruding past the Fan plate.
Where did you get the crank from, put up the link for that crank. ALSO Where did you get the bored out cases.
And Put the CASE HALFS TOGETHER AND TAKE PICTURES OF THE BORED OUT CASE So we can see how it was bored out. Alleyoop

It actually is a 150cc variator, I ordered a new one today with the shaft and I hope this works. I took the old crank and placed the entire assembly on it. Meaning kick start gear, and variator assembly and I have the exact same issue with the clearance.
