i kept my old iridium plug when i did my 52mm big bore kit when i took it out to check compression its blackish could that be from the extra oil burning off since i poured alot of oil on the piston and jug when i fitted it, it blew smoke when i first started it but now its all fine or is it too rich with 98 jet

It could be either one, they'll both make it look like that. However, if it was the oil most of it should burn off. If it's the mixture it'll stay like that.
