Have you got the scooter running? What BBK have you put in? If you got a BBK in I would go 3up and 3down from your current gears, so if you have 13/40 put in 16/37 or 18/36. With a 62 or greater BBK you will have plenty of low end power to pull the gears. Alleyoop

Alley: I order the crank on Friday and if that does not get it I am gonna try something else. I had been looking at the project the wrong way for quite some time and I have not been able to complete for one major reason. Although I approached it as though I were going to finish, I never put it totally back together as if it were finished. Meaning that meany times I left the job half complete because I expected problems. As a Masters Psychologist candidate, I should have known better. It is often times easy to counsel others on their issues than to look at ones own.
I am having the crank shipped overnight from Walter Friday and first thing Monday morning it will be at the machine shop being worked on. The who runs it is a friend of a friend and says he is not booked up so he will be able to get it it that day or the next day.
Right now I have a 63mm BBk and I am going back with a 4mm crank. I have sen gear kits like at scooter elements which I believe is 13/43. Since I have to get a gear pulled I figured I may as well get them to put a gear pressed on.
Also what are your thoughts on the Mikuni High Flow Vacuum Fuel Pump?

13/43 gears!!! what gears have you got in there now? 13/43 will not do much for you. Don't forget a BIGGER WHEEL TURNS A SMALLER WHEEL FASTER JUST LIKE YOUR VARIATOR AND CLUTCH PULLEY. So you always go UP on the COUNTER SHAFT GEAR which is the 13 and you go DOWN ON the FINAL DRIVE GEAR which is the 43.
So before you order those gears COUNT THE TEETH ON YOURS because I think your making a mistake on the 13/43 set. Alleyoop

Thanks Just. I am not overly mechanistically inclined. But the biggest problem I have is time, time is never on my side. So more times than not I am rushed, and since when I started, I knew nothing about scooters I have come a long long way, not to mention this is my only mode of transportation other than getting rides from family and friends. I appreciate all of the help you guys have offered and I can not Thank everyone enough for that. Most forums will make you feel stupid, but you guys are down to earth.
