i changed my weights and cleaned up my variator theres a line scratch on three of the ramps on the flatter part of the ramp will this hurt anything performance wise, i suspect its the cover with guides that put the scratches in it

No, unless it is actually a DEEP GOUGE going HORIZONTIAL where the roller might get a little hung up on. But they do bounce around in there and they actuall slide and NOT ROLL. Alleyoop

i took some steel wool to the ramps its faintly noticeable with my finger the scratches are straight across on the ramps where the plate sits

Oh on the end of the ramp near the edge? Yea that always happens the edge of the Variator Plate or Variator moves and they bang on the edge. Just smooth them out the best you can. I also have a kosco on and I have the same thing. At that point the roller is as high as it is going to get anyways. Alleyoop
