Need to find a gasket for the top case of my MC250B ('07 if it matters) Tried Alliance Plastics in Jacksonville Fl. but will only sell in 100 foot rolls to the tune of almost $500.00 with shipping and sales tax. Almost chocked on my Tootsy Roll! Need a cheaper alternative. The original dry rotted (Chinese Quality Control failed me on this one!

What do you mean gasket for the top case? Are you talking about the Gasket Between the Head and JUG or the Case and the JUG. Alleyoop

Sounds like he's talking about the rubber seal for the rear trunk. I think you might have some luck using weather stripping like the kind used for doors or windows around the house. Might have to do some experimenting.

Thanks guys. I've tried all of the weatherstriping options but the adhesive isn't strong enough to stand up to constant opening and closing the trunk. The search goes on!!

I have though about running a bead of silicon in the groove then bedding some softer foam rolled rubber into it. Right now to keep mine from just rattling I jambed some rubber in the back edge. With the length of what is needed to seal if it is too stiff the poor hinges are going to snap off.

I have 1/4 each WIDE the thin it is about 1/8 thick weatherstriping on mine and it has been on there 3 years now. So that tells me your putting it on wrong or the wrong place where it closes. Alleyoop
