What is the purpose of having this radio in this scooter?? You can't change the channels its in the trunk.. Yeah you can raise and lower the volume, but what good is that?? Think im going to swap out the radio for an old car radio I had and put my audio cable for it to play my smartphone apps.. Other then that the radio is useless other then taking up space..

I think you must have got the premium package! I got this POS which I think is supposed to be an MP3 player :
There's nothing in the trunk on mine. I managed to get this thing to make some static noises and that's it. That's OK, I didn't expect any sort of music device so I really don't care. It's just that if they can't make an effort better than this just forget it. I still love the bike but this thing is junk. I think I'm going to use the power cable for some LED forward running lights. Then it will at least serve SOME function.

Some one posted about a boat/motorcycle radio a while back. Designed for the outdoors and weather proofed comes with out door speakers and I believe was around $75. I came close to ordering one for my boat and another project got higher priority and the money. This one had some good reports about quality of the sound and station getting too.
A car radio would be ok I guess but the size and not weather proof is not good unless you mount it in the trunk and then your back to square one.

I actually found a station on mine once. It didn't sound too bad. Living in the sticks we only have one station here that we can get. I only wish it had a channel indicator so I had a clue where it was going. Someday I'll remember in Binghamton to turn it on and find a channel so I have a reference.

Bashan.. I have a 2008.. In that year they have a regular radio in the trunk and only a volume button.. I have no clue why they put it in there with no way to change it.. At least put a way to change the stations..
If I change out the radio to my old car radio I can run an audio cable for my phone..
How do you add pictures??

Yeah...on a page from the book "What were they thinking"...what's up with the tiny ashtrays in cars these days? Damm, I'm finding that I have to trade my car in about every 6 months when they get full. What's up with that?

I'm probably in the minority but I don't even play my radio in the car. The only reason I know my Fashion's radio works is that it was a slow day and I wanted to play in the garage. Of course I left the ignition on and the headlight killed the battery so I had to hook up a trickle charger to bring it back to life. I lost the radio station in the whole mess and haven't found it again since.

Guess some one is behind the times.
I just took a quick look for a radio as I suggested here and all I could find is crap. mp3, ipod no am, no knobs, cd players, If I still want a radio for the boat I am going to have a tough time to find just a radio. Wish I still had the web page I was referring to above.
Some of this garbage they advertise with 100-300 watts mention only strong stations too! Guess radios are out of fashion, but if you want some thing with a memory card slot to get water in your in luck. Little tiny lcd to see what station your on at 55 mph! Just like real scooters there are few and far between them. And the watts crap is bull. Most every one knows watts = volts X amps, except the people who advertise that stuff. Years ago they started that lie. You look on the required manufacturers tag and the home stereo draws 2 amps for everything including the cd and all, yet on the front of the box it says 400 watts!

How do you add pictures?? Here's a tutorial on how to use Photobucket. They have of course "updated" several times to try and confuse us since I wrote it but it still applies.
My Fashion is a 2009 and I guess they decided to chuck the radio in the trunk for the MP3. I had an 800cc BMW in the late '70s and early '80s. It was one of the few bikes around that had speakers in the fairing right from the factory. It had a radio and an EIGHT TRACK CASSETTE PLAYER! You can imagine how that thing worked on a motorcycle. I'd rather listen to the bike anyway, I guess I'm a music at home guy.
