Hello Poppajon, How the hell have you been, good to hear from you. As for the leak is the tank in front or above the seat? Where does the sensor go into the tank ON TOP of the tank or sort of in the middle of the tank? Also If in the front some also are held on by the side of the tank with a bolt built into the tank with a bracket going to the frame. If the sensor going into the tank is not on top they may leak around the sensor. They usually have a round rubber thick washer going around the hole. If so you can go to the auto parts store and get gasket material and make cut out a round piece of gasket and add that to the rubber one on there. Know from experience.
Also when do you notice the leak, when full, half full or it doesn't matter?
If it doesn't matter leaks with just a little bit of gas I would check the outlet area. Alleyoop

My tank was leaking through the sensor. It is the one that enters about half way up the tank. Rather than order a new sensor I cleaned off the outside of the sensor and then applied some oil resistant gasket material seal. I think it is Permatex black. Well, it has been there for about 3 months now and still not leaking.
I also have made an inner seal earlier out of gas tank cork material. It worked but the leak continued so I then looked at the sensor itself.
So if it is near the sensor then look at both the inner tank seal and the area around the connector. .

OK thanks guys, yeah I had the sensor out to reposition the rubber gasket, my sensor is in the top middle of the tank, and the tank is mounted in front of the seat under the plastic cover, its actually bolted to the lower frame rail, even after resealing the gasket ,when I fill it up it will leak from somewhere around the sensor area, I think it may be the actual mounting ring thats part of the tank. This sensor dosnt bolt in, its like the older auto gas sensors with a round ring that compresses the seal when you turn it down, its like 3 wedges that go under 3 tabs ,the tabs are part of another ring that is likley welded to the tank itself. I think this is where its seeping from, but i have to wait to pull the tank compleatly out to really test it, OK will let ya no what I find when I do ,and thanks for the input poppajon, bye...

Yea I am sure it is leaking from the Sensor hole, so go and get some gasket material and cut out a round gasket and add that the existing one. Alleyoop
