Had a over 500cc bike been available 10 years ago I would probably be riding it today. I just did not want a heavy "cruiser" at the time and as we all know there are very few new 650 type bikes that come from japan that do not fit that description. I sold the bandit because it was loosing value with high miles, could not afford to let it sit for a couple years while my knee was getting worse. It was terrible top heavy and with a bad knee it was only a matter of time before I dropped it at a red light. A 650 would have been a hundred lbs lighter and would I probably kept it.
I love scooters but if I have to keep climbing over the "hump" I may just replace the majesty with a real bike if money and the right model shows up. To me the big advantage to a scooter is the floor board and it pi...sses me to have to climb over what that should not be there. john
