have you check the cables from the battery to the chassis and selniod and the starter the factory cable ends then to cut through the wire and make poor connections i would replace all the eyelet on both the battery + side and the neg side clean all paint of where the grounds connect to the frame and the motor

gonna do all the above and get a new battery and solenoid hope it fixes it

what is strange there is no ground wire to the frame or to the valve cover it looks to be all hooked to the battery.

I looked again there is no green wire at all just two black wires and they are both connected to the battery, the guy that i bought it from did some strange wiring stuff, what to do now? And the dash doesn't light up when i turn the key it never did it has a make shift iginition also.
