Gti, Take a picture of the RIGHT SIDE OF THE CARB and CABLE. It sounds really good and starts great. I DID NOT HEAR ANY POP, if it ACTUALLY POPS ON DECELERATION at LOW RPMS it is LEAN. If it POPS ON THROTTLE IT IS RICH. Alleyoop

Your carb is what they call a performance carb, has a PUMP. So when you give the throttle a twist it squirts EXTRA gas into the Venturi. The Pops is to much fuel you can see the mist coming out of the muffler.
As for which slot on the wheel the Lead ball from the Throttle should go is Either of the TWO holes near the IDLE SPEED SCREW. It all depends how long your cable is. When you pull on the Cable to fully open the Butterfly The cable should wind up close to the bottom.
Also I wanted to see the Throttle side of the CARB when INSTALLED I wanted to see how you had it installed. I know what all the carbs look like it is the installation that matters. Alleyoop

you can turn the screw with the spring around it in a few turns that should help with getting it to idle

Here are the pics you requested Alley I moved the fuel filter, is this better? I do not have the nut tightened up on the cable because I put it back on just to take the pics and did not try to start it today.

Well all looks good the LEAD BALL is hooked up on the first slot near the IDLE SPEED screw. Why do you not use the BOTTOM Bracket Hole to stick the Cable through? It would be a straighter shot and the cable itself would not rub on the bottom of the metal tubeing and would be smooter as well.
Now the Last picture showing the FUEL FILTER is the BIGGER END going to the CARB or FUEL TANK. Just about all the Fuel Filters the WIDER END always goes toward the CARB, because the ACTUAL FILTER INSIDE IS ATTACHED TO the WIDER END and you want the GAS to BE sucked in from the OUTSIDE of the FILTER. Also if your tank is to the LEFT of the FUEL FILTER It looks like the fuel line goes UP going to the CARB and if yours is a GRAVITY FEED has a PETCOCK and NOT A VACUUM FUEL PUMP that will restrict the gas from following to the Carb.
If Gravity fed the FUEL HOSE from the tank to the petcock or filter to carb must BE GOING DOWNHILL all the way and also CANNOT be lower than the FUEL INLET on the carb. IF you have a VACUUM FUEL PUMP then the only thing is the LINE from the TANK must go DOWNHILL to the PUMP after that it doesn't matter because the pump will pump fuel uphill. Alleyoop

I shortened the hose to try to get it to flow down hill and that was the best that I could do. There is a vacuum line that does run to my petcock and I an using the factory one. I have not upgraded and was thinking am think that it may be the way to go. I have not attempted to put it in the bottom hole but will do it tomorrow. I am also having an issue with the swing arm meeting up with the engine. I took the scoot for a ride the other day and it did wonderfully. Throttle response was great but no idle. Tomorrow is a new day. We will dee what I can come up with.

Gti, What size carb is that? You should not be having a problem idling but do this start it up and let it die and take the plug out and see if it is WET or DRY. If the Carb is a 30mm and with the uni you have one of two conditions TO MUCH FUEL at IDLE or NOT ENOUGH. If its a 30mm Carb check to see what size PILOT JET is in there. Alleyoop

Here are the Jets you want to check the PILOT JET SIZE the number may be on top of the jet or you need to unscrew it out and check around the side of it. Alleyoop
