I need to figure out a good way to mount my exhaust. Right now the swing arm and the exhaust mounting brackets. I can not find bolt to screw into the case and for some odd reason it just doesn't fit right. Here is a small pic of it and I hope this helps.

Your off about half inch can you drill a slot where it bolts to the MUFFER bracket so you can then move it forward. Alleyoop

It will move over but its hitting against the swing arm. I had thought about heating it up and moving it a little. That mounting bracket is very popular and in my opinion not very good.

I bought an exhaust a couple of years ago that was supposed to "bolt right on". It turned out that the bracket was not "bolt right on" and was designed to fit only a couple different configurations of GY6 exhaust brackts and swingarms. Here was the exhaust system:
And here was the problem with the bracket:
To make it work I had to:
And it turned out something like this:
My point is that you'll have to find a way to make it work with your particular swingarm and muffler brackets. There are several different types of muffler/swingarm configurations for the GY6 scooters. There is not a universal bracket that works on all of them regardless of what the vendors try to tell you.

Tvnacman wanted me to post this pic so that you could get an idea for using the bracket. There you go John, I optimized the exposure and cropped it a bit.

As for me I would just decide and know what the mount needs take it to a Welder and fit it properly. Sorry John but that last one OH BOY I would not be seen riding with something like that, BUT THAT IS JUST ME(HAHA). You could have taken the pipe to MIDAS and have them bend it to fit. Alleyoop

After extending my bracket out wth spacers the muffler strap I got with the exhaust kept breaking. I ended up making this Frankenstonian mess so I could use the exhaust:
I think John's contraption looks positively elegant in comparison. It turned out that this metal strap kept breaking until I finally gave up and put the stock unit back on.

Al, unless you really look under it you don't see it. The reason I put the washer between the brackets is to keep any stress away. If you have to flex aligment of the holes it will stress crack. I asked Rich to post that pic just to offer an idea of how to make it work.

Oh I know Bro just joking with you guys. Of course as I have said many times if you trying to align the muffler mount and or pipe and you put pressure on it IT WILL break sooner or later somplace. Many times that is what pops the studs out of the head. Alleyoop
