Does anyone know what the VCD light means? Does anyone know why the light on the far right of the dashboard labeled "VCD" would start blinking after riding for 10+ miles? I don't even know what the light means and can't find any reference to it in my owners manual or online documentation. I am worried because it started happening ever since my spark plug boot failed a few days back and I hope its not indicating some other problem I am riding around with. The bike is running fine and feels normal so hopefully nothing serious?   |

VCD=VIGILANCE CONTROL DEVICE
The Light is just a SERVICE REMINDER INDICATOR. There should be a way to reset it.
If you can find where the wires go it may have a reset button.
Supposedly there should have been a sheet or something about the VCD indicator and in there probably how to reset it. So it may just be you reached a certain number of miles SAY to change the oil or something. But it says YOU CHOOSE So it has a reset button someplace or you are missing the instruction SPECIALLY for the VCD because it does mention that it is in the BAG.
Maybe just call the dealer and he might have one or knows all about it.

VCD=VIGILANCE CONTROL DEVICE LMAO!!! I can't stop laughing!!! This bike has so many weird things about it I swear. Automoto finally answered my email this morning and the light is part of the stereo system, specifically the MP3 connection. He said there maybe a problem with the system though I don't use it much so I wouldn't have noticed. I'll test it today and make sure the radio is working correctly. The poorly translated Chinese to English owners manual is seldom alot of help on this beast!  |

Yea the manuals are actually funny to read what call some of the parts, for the VCD it said in caps YOU CHOOSE , what does that mean HAHA. But from that I gathered it to be some kind of reminder about something(HAHA).
