A little more details cookies, where have I crossed a line? I have no hate in my heart. Where in anything I have said makes you feel like I'm hatein. I'm not the one stiring the pot. If you look at the first post in this thread then ask yourself, who is stiring the pot .

Some guys had there differences, then put them aside. Ans you guys are taking cheep shots. At the very least they were men and talked about it like men and settled it.

I haven't taken any offense, corrected or otherwise. Obviously you feel very strongly that somehow we're slandering people. A Leopard doesn't change its spots. There is a history here and it isn't crap stirring to point it out. I've said all I will on the topic. Watch and see if I'm wrong.

Oh, and I may be living in the sticks now but I grew up on Long Island. My parents were from Queens.

KZ I look on the positive side , I was not looking to offend either. Yes there is a history , however there is piece or partial piece at the moment . IMO I feel let it be . As compaired to some of the oldtimers I'm somewhat new . I joined just before the split and I was able to get help , passing it along is where my focus is . Some might want to point out that I'm pushing parts . The only reason I joined the parts game is because of lack of knolage and working parts .

Thats why SD was in so bad of shape then. and most of its members having joined in 2007 and 8 durring that fuel crisis came around for just a short time and went dead. out of all its huge membership most of its members have not posted in years, they either went to a decent forum or lost interest. Get its membership list out and you will find on a whole page there may not be even one person who has posted in recent history. SD could have been a really good place but some thing or body ran them off.

I understand what your saying here . Remember there is some truth in jokes . I'm not thin skinned at all , in fact I'm among the biggest ball breaker you might ever meet . I hold back in all the forums , I dought you will find a post on any forums where I have been aggressive . I choose a non conflict perspective on the forums .

With that said , the change or effort towards change I feel very strongly that the water under the bridge should be left that way . Picking at it will only enable it to rear is ugly head . I belive in time all that butted heads will be a part of calm peace . It would be nice to see !
I know Rich and JR don't talk . Doug and Alley are/were apart , perhaps mending . I don't see why Rich and Doug couldn't get along . Some of this is non of my business . Throw it out there as a hint maybe a bite .

Well said John.

I have never talked to Doug and know him only through his actions on the various boards.

I have met Rich, done business with him, and consider him a true friend. I would also say his word is his bond.

I have spoken to both . Empathy it will appear as im defending Doug , Doug was/is all alone as mod on dawg for a long time . The forum was large for one mod . Someone had to make choices as to handle things . What ever a mod does will not please all . I belive he did the best he could with what he had . I belive he got rid of what he viewed as trouble or a problem .

Well , John its perspective . What is a mods job ? To give tech advice . Clean up broken / old links . Keep the peace take action to thoes that misbehave . Some of the best advice I've gotten was not from a mod , but from other posters . It will be helpfull if they know there way around engines .

John , I understand your point . I would not debate that with you . In some cases better have a body in a position then not . I think you would agree that a forum can't run without a mod to maintain it . It is very easy to criticize , going back a few posts . No decision pleases everyone ever . Not at work family etc......

Hey, hey. Yeah I know what I said, but....

When Doug was the mod early on he owned a 450 Honda Rebel. I don't think there's that big a difference. He also had a brief flirtation with an un-certified by CARB scooter. It's very short sighted to say he was unqualified. Would any mod be unqualified just because he had the misfortune to buy a turn key scooter like a Reflex, Helix or ummm Majesty?

Maybe this thread should be renamed to I Hate Medman. Not everybody gets along, that is a fact of life. Seems as a few have got their facts wrong about who has owned what, but what does that have to do with a Admin or moderator. They are supervisors, support staff, admin types. No real need to know how to do a specific job, just be able to control situations.

Maybe this comparsion will help. In the Military you have those that do the maintenance, those that Police, those that cook, ect. support staff does none of that, they support as in Admin functions or Officers who lead but have no clue how to do the jobs of those they lead.

Where it might be helpful to have knowledge of what those below you do, it is not necessary to support them by doing Administration jobs.

I personnally do not know what Doug knows and what he doesn't know about scooters, I do know he was one of two that kept SD open as long as he could, doing the majority of the Admin work. For that I give him credit.

As far as JR and Doug getting past the past, I think it says a lot about both of them being able to drop the past and work together to make an other place for folks to go.

The above is my observations from being a member over there since 2008

No problems at all John. Just observations on my part as to where the conversation here seemed to be going.

I agree with there were issues on how SD was run in the past. On the same hand, one person can only do so much. I think things may have beed different if Lee had been around more or if there would have been more active mods.
