www.cycleworld.com/2012/12/21/2013-bmw-c650gt-first-ride-scooter-review/Now this is interesting: The claimed-60-horsepower, Kymco-built, 647cc engine is mounted low in the hybrid tubular steel/die-cast aluminum frame for a shin-level cg. This is the second BMW engine from Kymco. Also interesting: While the GT’s suspension is not as sophisticated as that of BMW’s top-of-the-line, ESA-equipped sport-tourers, it’s sophisticated enough to set a pace that would leave other currently available-in-the-U.S. maxi-scooters in its wake. On zigzagging Mulholland Highway, one journalist even zapped a Ducati 1199. Of course I'm sure the Ducati was about to break down-again. And then there's this: Base MSRP for the C650GT is $9990, which includes a multi-function display with an on-board computer, a centerstand, sidestand with an automatic parking-brake actuator, power socket and non-linked, triple-disc ABS. According to BMW, the initial run (and most thereafter) of GTs will come with the $605 Highline Package, which includes heated grips and seat, and a tire-pressure monitor, bumping price to $10,595.Not to mention tax and dealer prep plus shipping and gratuities. Hmmmm Rich, are you thinking that a Kymco Myroad 700 is looking better all the time and save a few bucks?

Well, you once said to me that BMW has a mystique that defies price. Hell, with my knees I'd pony up the 6 hundred so I didn't have to bend down to check the tire pressure.

You know what gets to me though? Have you seen the weight on these things? A Burgy 650 and Kymco Myroad weigh over 600 pounds! My last 650cc twin cylindered bike weighed 450. I thought the Fashion was heavy at 370 or so, but these big scooters carry some serious poundage. As I recall my 1000cc shafty weighed 600 pounds fully fueled.

My 1200cc bandit was listed at 470 but had a yoshi on it so maybe 460, there are crotch rockets today in the 350lb bracket that have 1000cc's but they are all top heavy. My majesty is around 450 but feels much lighter because it is not so top heavy.
The difference between the top heavy bandit and the majesty is night and day when it comes to getting blown around on the highway. It took just short of a tornado to rock the bandit yet the wind coming off a passing vw is enough to sway the majesty.
