I took delivery of a new engine today. Now I can finally start this project. I could not find a suitable used engine, so I ordered a new one. (from scrappy).
Hoca 44mm stroker crankshaft
NCY 50mm BBK kit
NCY 50mm head
NCY A9 perfomance camshaft
Hoca performance intake manifold
keihin carburetor.
and various other parts.
I will need to order an 8 pole stator and flywheel. I don't want to pull it off the other engine. Also I still need to decide on a variator and clutch. I am not going to use the efi kit on this engine yet, but probably will later on.

John, Yes I have It on The trike now I just haven't been able to ride it yet. Due to weather other projects, and work. My son still hasn't produced the leads for my o-scope yet But I did order some. Just haven't had time to mess with it yet. In two weeks I am going to burn up some vacation time. I have to use it or lose it, and will devote it to this project. Roy

Sorry to be hocking you about it . Kinda sucks use it or loose it . If you do get the scope going , I tried to read the voltage from the cdi to the coil with a meter I tried ac and dc . I have a feeling its some form of a saw tooth wave . I would love to see it on a scope . I guestamate about 5 degrees swing on that cdi , you can see it with a timing light .
Does it crank better ?

Yes it does crank easier. It idles smoother and at a lower rpm. I had to raise it up some. The idle rpms dropped by 200-300 rpm.
Don't worry about houndin' me. I understand your currious as I am. Also I am somewhat of a procrastinator. (lol) I've been after my son about the leads. He keeps forgetting and our our schedules we don't get together much.
