Hello all, I recently purchased a used 250cc CN250 clone scooter made by JMStar. I have removed most of the body panels so that I can check the wiring and lines. I am just starting my checks, but have already found a line that is deteriorated and not connected to anything. Please view the attached picture, and let me know what this line is and where it is supposed to connect to. The line is question is the one the red arrows are pointing to. Update 3/25/13 I found where the first loose line goes, but now I found a loose line on the carb. and looking for info on where it goes. See picture in the post below. 2nd Update. Per Alleyoop the second hose is fine because that is the carb overflow. thanks all.

Notice the other hose coming from your Valve cover which is your Valve Cover Vent is connected to that hose on a "T" so there should be a connector someplace on the AIR BOX. That is coming from your exhaust pipe to send any unburned gases back through your carb. Alleyoop

I could not see the connection before, but was looking for engine pics, and found one showing the approximate location. I went and checked and was able to find the connection at the front of the air cleaner shroud. Now I just have to get a new hose and clamp for it. I found a second hose with no connection on the carb. It shows in the above pic, but I have updated my pic with and arrow pointing to it. I will be looking for info on where this goes, but maybe someone will tell me before I find it.

Ok that hose should connect to something on the RIGHT side or just hangs down, I was wrong about it connecting to the AIR BOX. There should be a box on the RIGHT side that it may connect to and the box may have a Filter in it. Alleyoop

The green arrow hose is OK that is your CARB OVERFLOW hose that stays as is. Alleyoop Good news. Then I guess all is well. I am going to paint my body panels because I have some in black original panels, and some in dark blue metallic from the 150 I got for parts. I will paint them with an Anodized Blue Metalcast paint, white primer first. After that I can put it together. In the mean time I can hook up the battery, and check carb adjustment, valve adjustment, etc. I already replaced the glass fuse to the battery with an ATC fuse holder, and checked the air filter. I should also replace the fluids.
