It is a Bando belt and it is fine at 900 mi. Is Bando a decent brand or are they junk?

I have a Japanese Mitsuboshi CVT belt.

Cheap Brands:

Bando - I guess its made in the USA.

Gates - Gates brand not Kevlar dont know who uses it outside of scooters. Lots of ebay fakes.

Mitsuboshi - Used in Timing belts in Lexus and Toyota not kevlar

Expensive Brands:

Polini - Used in Russia but very good quality - Kevlar

Athena - Europe brand very good quality - Kevlar

Malossi - Italy brand very good quality - Kevlar

I am starting to like Japanese items. 80% of all Toyotas are still on the road today. That cash for clunkers program wiped out all the USA cars. I know many toyotas still on the road today with over 200,000 miles. I just cant trust USA long term based on durability.

Then BANDO belts are right up your alley they are made by Bando Chemical Company(Japan), For most of your brand scoots HONDA , SUZUKI etc..

Thanks Alley, and everyone else. I did check online last night and all the info was positive. Nobody downed the brand. With that being said, today I cleaned everything out and replaced the cover. This summer I will buy a spare and check it in the fall again.
