Not long after I got mine we had to go pick up my car from the local garage. My wife said to me, "Let's take the scooter and I'll drive back." In the ten years I had my Kawasaki 650 she rode with me once to see how a bike was. So far she's ridden on back of the Fashion three times and calls it, "A kick A$$ scooter." She was as upset as I was when the transmission shaft broke and told me we could pay someone to fix it if I got in over my head. Keep in mind she has her own bike and could have ridden herself at least two of the trips. I know they're not pretty but the Helix clone is a useful device.

We got this email from one of our customers...
I thought you guys might get a kick out of this email I sent to CFMoto just now. If I don't hear anything back from them email wise I am going to try and call them about it, and if I don't get reparations by calling them I will take what actions I can to bring attention to their disregard for you guys and other dealers. This is really unacceptable, and as a customer of CFMoto I am so disappointed that they would have such disregard for myself and others.
Good luck with your efforts in this matter, too!

Hello,
I am a CFMoto Glory 150cc scooter owner for about a year and a half. I bought it brand new at one of your dealers, HPS Motorsports LLC in Pittsburgh, PA. I went in today to get some service on my scooter, and my dealer informed me that your company has suddenly and inexplicably dropped them from dealer status, making it so that they cannot order parts for my scooter OR service my scooter under its manufacturer warranty (Of which will not be up until October) because of CFMoto doing such an act.
Not only am I an inconvenienced customer of your company now, I am a wholly enraged customer. I bought my scooter at HPS Motorsports LLC in Pittsburgh, and I bought specifically the CFMoto brand because of its reputation in serving its dealers and customers and the 2-year warranty (which might I remind you is a manufacturer warranty, meaning it was a warranty sold to me by CFMoto). I also bought it in confidence that my dealer would be able to service my scooter and get parts for my scooter.
I was very hesitant to buy from a Chinese scooter company because a lot of them have bad reputations with customer support and service, but I had heard nothing but GOOD things about CFMoto, and now I am very disappointed.
This is such an unacceptable thing to do to my dealer, especially because they have hundreds of CFMoto brand customers, including me, that will need parts, service, and warranty work. That means hundreds of unhappy CFMoto owners, including me, when they find out what you have done in regards to our local dealer status.
Ever since I bought my Glory, I have loved the CFMoto brand, and praised its difference from other brands of motorsport companies. I even convinced one of my friends to buy a Glory as well from HPS Motorsports LLC; so you are welcome for that sale.
I want to let you know if your company doesn't fix this blatant wrongdoing to your loyal customers and riders, I will make it my personal mission to ensure that I inform everyone that I can about what poor customer care CFMoto has shown in their actions toward their riders, and their blatant disregard for their hundreds of riders who have been screwed by your dismissal of their dealer without any notice or alternative for current CFMoto brand owners to maintain their scooters.
I also implore you to please tell me what I am to do now when I need parts or I need warranty-based service on my scooter? What am I to do now? The next nearest CFMoto dealership listed on your map is literally 50-60 miles away.
Sincerely a very unhappy CFMoto scooter owner,
Chris

I have to ask, WHY did they drop you as a DEALER? There has to be a reason for them to drop you.
Maybe its because you do not sell enough of them, do they have a quota etc.. Alleyoop

I have to ask, WHY did they drop you as a DEALER? There has to be a reason for them to drop you. Maybe its because you do not sell enough of them, do they have a quota etc.. Alleyoop Alley, Good question. And the answer is : Your guess is as good as mine! Here's a brief recap. My business partner stared selling CFMOTO produced scoots in 2006. CFmoto hit the scooter scene big time in 2007 and 2008. They had 3 150cc machines, the Glory, eCharm, eJewel, the 250cc Fashion, and the V Twins, the V3 and V5. They were trying hard to bring the reputation of a mainland Chinese scooter maker up in stature. They announced the creation of a new 250, the Jetmax, that was supposed to debut as a 2010 model. The original management , Lev Mirman, was replaced by a CEO from China. Thats when the promises were made...and broken. We were told that the 250's would become fuel injected and that there would be a introduction of a couple of 650cc motorcycles in the late summer of 2010( I guess they are finally expected this spring). We were told that although the company was going to significantly expand its off-road, atv/utv, lineup, they would in no way forget the dealers that helped them get established. 2011 proved be be a " house cleaning" Since no new scooters had been brought in since 2009, CFMOTO wanted to "clear-out" the warehouses of all remaining 2009 models. They dropped the price of a 150 scooter to $500 !!! they dropped the 250's to a grand !! Talk about a sale! It worked, they were cleaned out by fall 2011. So we spent 2011 and into 2012 selling the 2009 models They started 2012 with nothing to sell and product " due in any moment" of course, nothing materialized. They started pushing the ATV line pretty hard. The president of CFMOTO US was recalled to China...and not replaced. They brought in two new guys that had been bounced out of a couple of North American powersports companies. We were sent new dealer contracts to sign. They fired our rep who was with them for a number of years. And then complete SILENCE. Not a peep though-out most of 2012. No scooters to sell, no V5's no Jetmax's. Parts were able to be ordered online through the dealer page at CFMOTO. Then one day I try to log on to order some parts....nada...zilch..bupkiss. Figured must be some computer glitch. Following day I get a call from a customer that says" Hey. you guys aren't listed on the dealer locator page anymore." Yep. Not a word of warning. Not a letter, no phone call, nothing. So we call and get the new guy's voice mail. Leave numerous messages...never get a return phone call. I finally get one of the new guys' (the parts guy), to return my phone call. I ask !!! He says, "I don't know , that not my department" When I asked how I'm now supposed to get parts for the over 200 CFMOTO's we've sold; he suggests that I call around and find an existing dealer that might agree to sell us parts ( at retail, plus 2x shipping) Now when i take a good look at the dealer locator page I see that they dumped numerous dealers and that the only ones left are mainly ATV/UTV dealers. I think the closest scooter dealer to me is outside Buffalo, some 3 hours away. phew... my fingers are tired...

SOunds like they want out of 2 wheel scoots they cannot compete on prices with the cheaper scoots here in the states. But just to go with ATV/UTV that is very limiting since they are not legal on the streets. Oh Well, maybe they have a big base of clients for them overseas. Alleyoop

They stated they want only OEM dealers.
Um,,, excuse me...but KYMCO has beaten you to the punch. With a MUCH more extensive line to boot!

If they're getting out of the two wheel business, what happens to ALL the CFMOTO dealers. I've got one just down the road a piece, and was actually thinking of getting a new one, but, if they're slowly being forced out, I may have to rethink that theory. (and get a used Helix instead, and fix er up)

If you look at the dealers on the CFMOTO web page, that is, go to their individual web pages, you will discover that nearly all carry only the ATV line. I can only find one scooter dealer in a 300 mile radius.
