I have a scooter that has the CF250 motor on it. I blew the head gasket on the motor replaced it. the motor then started up for a little bit and then quit. I have then replaced the piston, the cylinder, and the head. it will not start now and I checked the compression and there is no compression. what could be wrong with the engine. need help I am lost.

if you replaced the pistons and cylinders and there is no compression at all, shyet there must be something wrong on how the pistons and block were installed, youy need to start by dissassembling it again and install it back, make sure that you got it correct now.,,check too if you are getting a spark and if the gas is reaching the combustion chamber at all. chack also if the compression tester is working ok,or if you do it correctly. no offense meant but these things happen even to the most mechanically inclined guy everywhere... pls don't feel lost....don't be like charles ramsey.
good luck bro! keep us posted

Check your valves.....they may not be closing. Even a wore out engine will have some compression, with the valves closed on compresession stroke. You have intake....compression...power.....and exhaust, with no compression it will not run.

I hate to sound like an alarmist but did you check the cam timing? If it was off enough the motor would run but might have a valve get hit by the piston. The way to check would be go back first and see if the timing marks line up then pull the head and squirt starting fluid or gas down the intake and exhaust ports and see if fluid leaks past. I hate to think it but it's a thought.

The other thing is did you stagger the Piston ring GAPS so they are not lined up above one another that will also make it loose compression. Alleyoop
