You can try to reason with them... if that fails just declare " That's It... I'm done with you!"

I have a feeling your scoot may turn a deaf gear (ear) to you and not cooperate with cookees suggestion. I'm surprised that cookees didn't suggest some sympathetic scoots from this place: www.hyproscooters.com/. He might even be a neighbor?

Do you want a piece of this??!! You can try to reason with them... if that fails just declare " That's It... I'm done with you!" The gears will only change if they really want to change.
OK there Jjoshua, I know a guy that can help you with that speech problem, you don't have to live with repeating your "J"'s.
I guess we've your thread quite enough....onward. The tranny gears come out of the case only one way and they go back together only one way. Take some pictures though as it comes apart and then reverse order for assembly.
Now here's where things might get dicey. The reduction gear and output gear are typically the two gears changed out for an upgrade. The output simply slides over the rear axle. However, the reduction gear must be pressed onto that larger intermediate transfer gear that you see it attached to in the pic below. The special equipment that a machine shop has is often needed. Alley can probably shed more light on this than I can. Sometimes riders buy a complete tranny set rather than mess with this. This includes all of the gears and both shafts then you don't have to deal with the problem of getting the reduction gear pressed on.
