Wow.... I remember the old 750 Norton back in the 60. What a Boss looking machine. They used to take over the old Pacific Car and Foundry Tank track in Renton Wa back in the 60 when no one was around and race them and the old Harleys. I remember one time they came after us in a Tank we shot off on our dirt bikes and that thing just keep comming making it's own trail so my buddy started heading toward some building and sure enough the tank backed down. I think it was a cemetary we made our get away. There were a lot of the old 250 2=cycles racing back there in the days...ring ding machines

Some like Harleys, some like Honda, some like Yamaha and some even like Victory (LOL). All kidding aside the point is that you Ride!!!! Personally, after all the years of riding I have done and all the different machines I have rode, I still perfer my Harleys. I even find the time to ride my 1950 Pan Head rigid for a few miles every year even tho it kills my back ( getting old ) and my leg form kick starting it. Hell it is still a 6 volt system. Now I have to admit that I am not really impressed with the Computer controlled/ fuel injected machines no matter who makes them. My opinion is a TRUE motorcycle must have points and at lease one carb. Call me old school or just plain old but that is how I feel. In my opinion half the fun in owning a bike is working on it and learning how it operates. Todays machines, cars and bikes, have taken that away. Give me an old Harley, a old muscle car and a garage full of tools and parts and I will be happy. At lease when my point operated machine looses spark, I can file them with a nail file, reset them with a match book cover and be back on the road, not call a tow truck because my computer took a dump. Or if my carb is acting up, I can pull it, clean it and bingo back on the road, try that with computer controlled fuel injection. Then again, there are those that will argue that all these computer controlled machines never break down because they are so reliable. I would ask them if they have ever gone by a (insert brand here) Dealer and seen how many are in there for repair? Like I said already, to each their own, the main point is to get out there and feel the wind in your face and RIDE!! Now that goes back! My cousin had one of the old 6V panheads that he restored, actually found it at a garage sale! That thing had a kck back too! ;D JR
