I appreciate the way Alley handled it. Jack would be furious and blast someone who threw a hand grenade into his forums. Right is right and that was not right. kz1000st I'm pretty sure Alley spoke with offinding person. I personaly feel that Alley handled it very well. On other forums I've seen hole thread's vaporized over silly stuff. @ Luke I rass :Pyou just like you rass every one on here. So if you can't take the heat.... But if you ever Feel it's personal. Please let me know. Senserly not my style. Dave

Please let me know. Senserly not my style. Dave Dragonsparks Alley and I did visit, he knows I had no intent on spamming, simply put I just didn't pay attention the size of the image. Also I don't have the problem of a hand grenade on my forum, I use Proboards helpful codes to eliminate such issues, don't have a image size problem. Here is the exact same post and large image on the I would blast someone on my forum: www.thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=discussion&action=display&thread=2709Depending on your browser, ( I use W8 and IE10) on my forum a code put in the Global Footers automatically grabs any image over the set value that I plugged in and reduces it to an acceptable size so I didn't think of a large image because I don't along with most Proboards forums have this issue. Take note of the message on top of the image: This image is reduced by 67%, click to view full size. Please do click on it and you'll see it go back to the original size and then click again to reduce it. Takes about 30 seconds to put this code in and a code is also available on the new V5 format also: thescooterprofessor.freemessageboards.com/thread/2506/total-recallAgain depending on your internet speed and browser it may take a second to re-size. Some like Harleys, some like Honda, some like Yamaha and some even like Victory (LOL).
All kidding aside the point is that you Ride!!!!
Personally, after all the years of riding I have done and all the different machines I have rode, I still perfer my Harleys. I even find the time to ride my 1950 Pan Head rigid for a few miles every year even tho it kills my back ( getting old ) and my leg form kick starting it. Hell it is still a 6 volt system.
Now I have to admit that I am not really impressed with the Computer controlled/ fuel injected machines no matter who makes them. My opinion is a TRUE motorcycle must have points and at lease one carb. Call me old school or just plain old but that is how I feel. In my opinion half the fun in owning a bike is working on it and learning how it operates. Todays machines, cars and bikes, have taken that away. Give me an old Harley, a old muscle car and a garage full of tools and parts and I will be happy. At lease when my point operated machine looses spark, I can file them with a nail file, reset them with a match book cover and be back on the road, not call a tow truck because my computer took a dump. Or if my carb is acting up, I can pull it, clean it and bingo back on the road, try that with computer controlled fuel injection.
Then again, there are those that will argue that all these computer controlled machines never break down because they are so reliable. I would ask them if they have ever gone by a (insert brand here) Dealer and seen how many are in there for repair?
Like I said already, to each their own, the main point is to get out there and feel the wind in your face and RIDE!!

I recently saw a video that compared a Harley and a Victory Vegas. You could hear the "Mystique" creeping in. They started the bikes and compared the sound. Yes, the Harley has soulful beat but it still vibrates and you could hear the edge of misfire every time they revved and chopped the throttle. The Victory just hummed with a slight whine like a modern engine. That about sums up the whole issue. If you want a 1950's bike, performance, reliability and all, a Harley is your bike. If you want a 21st Century bike, Victory and the Metric cruisers are your choice. I'll be curious to see the first Road Test of a 2014 Indian Chief. Pushrods, unit construction and Wisconsin built. It should be interesting.
Oh and JR.
Depending on your browser, ( I use W8 and IE10) on my forum a code put in the Global Footers automatically grabs any image over the set value that I plugged in and reduces it to an acceptable size so I didn't think of a large image because I don't along with most Proboards forums have this issue.
This would be a wonderful explanation except for one thing. You saw what it did, didn't delete or correct it and left it to Alley to clean up your mess. Can I go to your forum now with all the Harley recalls I have or will you just lock the thread or modify your opening attacks to try and look like the good guy, in true JR Fashion?
Nah. That would be like accepting your challenge to race up Mt. Petticoat in your backyard. Stacked deck.
