I'll try to shorten it. Well like most Men (I don't mean metro sexual)I procrastinated 9 month's before going to DR. You know it's going to be Bad. You don't want to know till You can't take it no more! Well today was My day. After 4 Hour's of poking around Doc Tells me at 48 year's that I need 2 hip replacements & 1 knee replacement to start. Told not to walk unless I have to. I knew that I shouldn't let all those WILD Woman ride me hard &put me up wet. No Joke!!! I Cryed. Which Is Unusual. Yes I'm not ashamed to admit it. Last 4 times I wailed like a Baby #1 are Son born after 38 Hr. labor 26 wk. preemie. after losing 3 to miscarriages . I'll save you the rest of it. No I'm not looking for your sympathy Cause I will survive. Just want ed to show you my new ride. This a stock pic Not really here's the real thing. Still looking for a turbo charger to fit it. Dave

I had a hip at the age of 50 and same side knee at 68. I also put it off. After the Doc told me about the hip I declined to have it done and made it maybe 2 weeks and called him back to tell him I was ready. You can only take so much pain and I was then ready. I would just as soon have them all done at once but they won't do that, they go one at a time. Good luck, john

I'm a chiropractor and I refer people all the time for hip and knee replacements. I can tell you this, the surgeries now are light years ahead of what they did when I started 30 years ago. Today, the incisions are tiny, the implants last decades, and the recovery is two to eight weeks depending on the surgery. They will have you up walking the day after the surgery and home in a few days. I have a patient that had both knees replaced at about your age. He was playing tennis just a few months later. The shocker was he couldn't play tennis before the surgery! It sucks that you have to deal with this but you picked a good time in the evolution of joint replacement surgery to have it done. You will do fine and be OK. Rich

I checked and they will do all at one time, but only if I will admit my self 3 month rehab. Homey don't play that!!! ( Homey smacking doc with rubber chicken.) I got up this morning 7am. I'm feeling ok. Pain level 3, which is good. I eat to take anti-inflammatory med. Then 8:45 go to Sweeties flea market to socialize & shop. Only 4 vendors set up & 18 or so starting to. So I drive to Peach tree peddlers in Macdonaugh Ga. and look a round. Found nothing I want need or desire. Heading to car, Pain level now at 5 1/2 which is about norm. Drive back to Sweeties flea market in Griffin Ga. Talk with friends and try to shop. OMG Pain level 7. Yes I'm a pig headed dumb Aspen cause I didn't use my New wheels.(My BaaaaD.) Yea New wheels nice. New wheels friend...Lol. Get home at 11am & pain level is almost a 9. Your right John, I'm ready. domindart Thanks n glad your on site.
