You will have to search but there is a diagram here on this web site that will show you where the wires go. You will need to take a meter and find where the break in the 12v dc voltage that powers the brake and turn signals. If your scooter will still start, you have 12v to the brake levers. You may very well have a open ground on the tail light assembly that would allow starting but no lights in the rear.

ok so im pretty sure the issue is that the wire supplying the power to the turn signals and brake lights has broken somewhere havent yet found that but while looking noticed that the only wire coming off the battery other than the ground goes to the solenoid but yet the head light, tail light, and dash lights still all work. could the power for the lights be coming from somewhere else?

There should be wires comming from your stator to the right side of the bike at the end are two wires ,-) for your ignition trigger coil and a white socket type plug with a couple wires connected to it. The white one is your lights. When unplugged they all go out.
