Hi All, this is my first visit here so hope I do it right! I have an Eagle trike 150cc with about 3000 kms on it and the differential gear on the rear axle has already worn out. I managed to find a spare complete gear but cannot work out how to get the old one out. I have everything loose but the axles are locked in somehow and will not separate to get the gear out. There must be a retaining circlip or pin holding them in, but I cannot see how to get to them. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

Can you post some photo's of the differential? They would be a help to determine how to get the axle out.

I'm just guessing here, but what I think you have is a chinese made Ice Bear Eagle (pst150-7).
Behind the hub is an oil seal that needs to be removed. behind the seal is a large internal retaining clip that holds the bearing and axle in. In the axle tube just to inside of where the fender bracket clamps on the axle tube there is probably two retaining screws that need to be removed also, one on the top of the axle tube and one on the bottom.
Once the screws and c- clip is removed replace the hub and nut, then attach a slide hammer to the hub and pull out the axle.

Here is the differential taken apart. Alleyoop 1. Take the rubber dust cover out and behind inside you will see a "C" clip take that out and then. 2. Check if your AXLE has TWO bolts going into the AXLE tube about 6 inchs from the end. IF so you need to unscrew the two bolts and then you can pull the Axle out. THIS IS THE AXLE TAKEN APART: #1. #2
