i took my scooter out last night over my friends about 20miles round trip was running great, this morning i took it for a ride and ran great for about a mile then at a stop sign the engine slowly start to die and then just stalled, tried to start it again and finally did but was barely running with me holding the throttle wide open, ended walking home with it , got it home checked to make sure it was getting gas pulled the gas and vacuum line and put vacuum on it gas came pouring out put everything back on carb and it started, was revving up good and then the same thing almost like it was running out of gas took the bowl off the carb and checked the float it didn't seem to be sticking could there be something sticking and stopping it from getting gas or clogged jet maybe just a good cleaning?

Could be the power contacts on the coil are loose. It happened to me once. Easy check.

Adjust your valves the EXHAUST valve is probably open and loosing compression. That is why once it gets hot it dies and once it cools off it starts. Alleyoop

no valves 2 stroke, it was running great last night lots of power, is it possible to lose compression that quickly, also didn't mention when i pulled the plug it was fouled put new one in and started once but died again

Sorry thought it was a 4T. Is the plug fouled from OIL or SOOTY?
If sooty then you know it is FLOODING out and your getting to much fuel. Check your VACUUM hose going to the PETCOCK and see if it is WET from gas. If wet from gas your petcock is bad and is sucking in fuel from the vac line in addition to sucking gas from the carb.
Also check your AIR FILTER it could be clogged and restricting to much air which will cause it to suck in to much fuel. Alleyoop

Ok, then you need to adjust your AIR RATIO if you have a CARB with the THROTTLE CABLE going down the center of the CARB. Also check your ENRICHER IF it has one on the carb. It could be it is not EXTENDING out and shutting off the extra fuel for cold starts. You can test it out: Take if off before you start it and lay it on its side then cover the hole with your thumb and start the motor and keep your THUMB over the hole for at least 3-4 minutes while it is idleing look at the ENRICHER and see if the plunger and needle are extending out about 1/4 of an inch from when you took it out. couldn't get it started, the enricher needle is out, when i do try to start it a puff of smoke comes out of the exhaust
also with auto choke should you be able to move the needle by hand it does seem that it i can push it back down, it seems to be fully extended when i took it off
