www.motorcycle-usa.com/2/16433/Motorcycle-Article/MIC-Supports-22nd-Annual-Ride-to-Work-Day.aspxMIC surveys have found that more Americans are tending to use motorcycles and scooters for practical, economical forms for transportation, not just recreation. The latest MIC data showed that there were more than 11 million motorcycles in use in the U.S. operated by more than 27 million riders. Total annual miles traveled by motorcyclists rose from 8.7 billion in 1990 to 29 billion in 2009. Look at those mileage figures! Ride Monday! Ride your motorcycle or scooter on this day to demonstrate:
* The number of motorcyclists to the general public and to politicians. * That motorcyclists are from all occupations and all walks of life. * That motorcyclists can reduce traffic and parking congestion in large cities. * That motorcycles are for transportation as well as recreation. * That motorcycling is a social good.

The only way I won't ride is if it is raining or I'm sick or dead. I was in missouri today on my majesty and just got back. It looked like rain half of the day but was just hot and humid. tomorrow I got to check air pressure, rear was a tad hotter than I like it and front on the cold side. These are new tires and I guess they are going to be a little different than the last set, same brand.

I would have rode my 84 mile commute to work tomorrow anyway but it's nice to know I'll be part of the 22nd Annual Ride to Work Day.[/I] The only thing that keeps me from riding to work is rain, I just can't hack that anymore. The cold did not stop me last winter but the coldest I rode was 22 degrees. That's cold but down here in Bama it rarely gets bitter cold. Anyway, don't be a weekend warrior y'all, grab some go handle and ride that thing to work. [/b]

This is one of my days off but the little woman rode off into the morning fog this morning. She loves to ride anyway and once she heard this was "Ride to Work Day" she just had to get out there. I have a mission to run anyway and I'll take the Fusion,uh Fashion, to join in the festivities. OK, I'm back and it was a great day for riding. First the Post Office. Then a little shopping. My imitation Honda and I had a good ride.

As luck would have it today is a rain day. I had planned to get breakfast then get some plumbing parts to install a new shower valve. I was getting tired of changing o-rings in a delta clone valve. Daughter fronted for a phister ceramic for fathers day. I have real hard water and rubber valve seats just will not hold up. john
