Good afternoon! This past week I went to Camp Pendleton to discuss the registration requirements for the Advanced Rider Course (from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation). If you are going to ride on the base, you are required to have the classes. I would surmise that there are too many accidents when you mix Marines with crotch rockets... While BS-ing with the manager, I learned what I consider to be a very interesting bit of trivia: There are more registered motorcycles on Camp Pendleton than all states combined (excluding California): 26,000 (if I remember correctly). Yes, that includes scooters. Just thought you'd like to know! < Steve >

makes sense could you imagine 26,000 cars on the base(HAHA). A scoot or any 2 wheeler gets them around camp very easy. Alleyoop
