You're close....the fuel lines look like should be about right. Now, that 3rd vacuum line coming off the "T" needs to get attached to the carb, on the opposite side from then fuel line, on the throttle cable side. I posted a pic with the port circled up.


That should get you to at least running.

As for the emissions crap, yeah you loose a small amount of mileage but in the end of the day, it's just less chance for confusion and something going wrong....lol

It also looks so nice and tidy under the seat with all that garbage gone too

Xing - my carburetor doesn't have a port on the throttle side any where.





This is a pic of my old carb, but it is identical except the bowl drain hose, as the one that is on the scooter has a screw next to the black drain hose instead of a coiled springy thing with the screw at the end.

Any ways I drew a diagram to fully explain wth i am doing. I guess I can't be any more exact than that, and the videos are kind of unclear and maybe even just more confusing.

Oh I didn't know that you didn't have that part on the carb.......Makes this semi easier possibly.

Plug off the 3rd vaccum line off the "T" fitting. Take a small screw and put it in the end or what not. Make sure your spaceship is letting fuel get into the carb. It should start from there.

Anyways, bowl drain hose comes off the bottom. Your vaccum and fuel line are hooked up correctly.

For right now, you can take that "T" fitting off the line going to the intake (orange) and plug it off. You don't need all the extra crap right now just to fire up. Realistically you should be set to go. Try it after plugging off that line.

Okay I have taken out the fuel pump which seems kinda counter intuitive, but that's done. I traded out a CDI for one that probably is good.I tried to use the electric start until the battery went dead and tried to kick start it until I got tired. It is getting gas to the carb but there isn't much in the fuel filter per se. I don't know about the air mixture or any of that but it did have a good strong blue spark that JUMPED from the plug to the valve cover. I don't know what else could be wrong. I've sprayed quick start into the air filter and that got me nowhere but I don't know if the battery was too far dead to fire it or not. I know I need to replace the battery because Auto zone tested it and it said it was bad but it still turns the starter very well when it is charged (it just dies fast and they said continual power drain was what ruined it to begin with). I. Don't. Know. What. To. Do.

According to your drawing, the petcock off your tank is what we'll call the fuel pump. The spaceship was part of the emissions system that can go bye bye. Starting fluid should really be sprayed straight in past the air filter for a straight shot into the carb.

Did you block off that vacuum line?

Yeah I put a bolt in it and clamped it off. It does look a lot less complex without the stupid spaceship. I'll take the big black hose of the carb tomorrow and spray some in there if thats a good idea.

Well I got up and sprayed the starter fluid into the large opening on the back of the carb that the hose attaches to and it did not even try to start, I then sprayed it into the spark plug hole, and still nothing.

Isn't there something in the brake handle that might not let it start if it is bad? I perhaps the CDI is bad even though Ive tried 2 of them? Can an apparently really strong charge on a "bad" battery be the problem? It turns the motor no problem when charged. Is there some kind of mixture problem? Any ideas? This is really lame.

I guess mine doesn't have emissions as i lack a line that goes from the canister to the intake, my only line off the intake goes to the petcock.

my canister has 1 open hole and a line to the valve cover and 1 to the gas tank for fumes and one to the air cleaner.
