CDI is short for capacitor discharge ignition. Capacitors in the module are charged up. When a pulse from the trigger coil is made by the flywheel the capacitors discharge through the ignition coil causing a spark to jump the gap of the spark plug. This is just a brief description of how it works.

I don't know about towing with a Magnum or any of the 300cc, they do not have a lot of power. They are heavy and pulling a load as it is. Put a rack on the rear and you should have plenty room for short trips and to the store.

As usual I am late to the party. A couple of things that I didn't see mentioned, may have missed them but worth repeating if I did. First off I noticed either here or on your other post that you couldn't get Ice Bear to answer you. Ice Bear CA is a wholesale distributor only and doesn't deal with the general public. Kinda like GM in Detroit. I will say that after being in business going on 21 years now, that Ice Bear is the best scooter distributor that I have ever worked with. I have never had any issues getting what I needed for my customers nor have they ever refused a warranty claim from me. They are also unique when it comes to shipping damage claims. If you have shipping damage on your trike or scooter and it is properly annotated on the shipping paperwork, they do all the work and filing from there and send you the parts that were damaged free of charge. Of course all of this is done thru the dealer you bought the machine from. Which brings me to my next point. Do your homework BEFORE you commit to buy from any dealer, these forums and the internet in general are full of information from folks who have taken the time to either write complaints or praises of dealers. Also look up there BBB rating, they do not have to be BBB accredited to have a rating. Lastly, make a phone call to the prospective dealer and get a feel of what they are about. As Alley said, your best bet is a Dealer that is also a brick and mortor shop that has actually worked on these machines. Also there are many online dealers that don't want to help you after they get your money for the initial sale. Very sad but true. If you happen to look at my site, you will notice that I do not have a shopping cart so you can order from the site. There are several reasons I do this. One I like to talk to my customers and answer their questions and concerns up front. Also, before I take payment, I make sure that the warehouse has the trike they want and the color they want. If they don't have it I can then give the customer other options. Also when you call you get me on the phone, not a recording or someone that puts you on hold for days ( LOL). I pride myself in after the sale service and advice, I will give tech support to anyone that calls including your own repair shop if they need help. If you are reading reports on the Ice Bear 300 trikes make sure that you notice what year the person has. If it is prior to 2012, those issues do not apply now. All the 300s went thru a major mod in 2012. Ice Bear is really good at listening to their customers, thru their dealers, and making changes to improve their machines. Here is the link to what was done in 2012 scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=trike&action=display&thread=5971&page=3Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all, either by PM here, phone or email. Good Luck on your purchase Jim/Owner Rapid Repair

Grr......
Went to three places today! Not one of them had even heard of the IceBear. One of the places didn't even bother to get his butt up off his desk chair and greet me or even ask if I had a question! One of the places said and I quote "we only deal with Italians" meaning italian bikes.
Now what do I do?
Hey Rapid Jim! Would you be willing to order one for me and have it shipped here?
