I imagine honda is going to sell a couple boat loads of them dual clutch bikes. I got flamed on another forum for making a statement about maxie scooters and I still stand by it. I said some thing to the effect that there is a whole glut of "would be riders" with deep pockets that want to ride some thing bigger than a little scooter that are too stupid to learn how to shift. One guy was real ticked being called stupid after driving a straight stick for 50 years and not being able to cope with a 250 honda clutch. 8 year old kids learn in 10 min.!
They are out there and an auto transmission will get them on a ride. I think when that honda starts selling all of the big bikes will be using them too, money is the name of the game.

I'll go light on that one John. Scooters work best within certain boundaries. I only know that my daughter learned in five minutes to ride and shift Rocket. DCT will be the new, bigger Cub clone once it's on everything. I'm sure all the other bike builders have a prototype running and are waiting to see how Honda's works out.

I'd love to have one of the 700cc scooters. I use my roketa 250cc as a commuter bike in town cause I like to be shiftless at the lights. I only occasionally ride my FJ1200 to work. Just the right tool for the current job. Do I sometimes ride the 1200 to work and take the 250 scooter outside the town limits? sure. But I would love to give the 700cc scooters a run.

I ride a Honda Silver Wing Trike... Twist an go just like my Honda Reflex and my Magnum 300cc Chino. I ride 2 up at 75 and 80mph with power to spare on my Silver Wing why one would need anything bigger is beyond me... We were only going that fast to keep up with the traffic that day on the Hwy and I figured would do the motor good to run a little at 5,600rpms
Magoo - getting to old for the higher speeds...

I am willing to sell but I have about $1000 more into it than it is worth and the only way I can figure to get that out of it is keep it unless some one wants to pay for the hit. If yamaha had had better sense than to induct the air right off the front wheel into the engine that would not have happened. Bad bad design.
